Automobiles in Germany's City Found Marked with Nazi Symbols in Human Blood, Law Enforcement Report

Authorities stated they were contacted by a individual who noticed a car in Hanau smeared with red-colored fluid

Around 50 cars have been marked with what appears to be human bodily fluid in the German city of Hanau in proximity to Frankfurt, as reported by law enforcement.

Vehicles, building surfaces and postal boxes were vandalized, in some cases with Nazi symbols, they announced in a official communication.

Officers say they were notified late on Wednesday evening, when a man discovered that a automobile in the Lamboy district of Hanau had been covered with a red-colored liquid.

The liquid had been placed in the shape of a Nazi symbol, they stated.

Law enforcement then found multiple other smeared vehicles and house walls in the adjacent neighborhood.

Nazi symbols are banned in Germany under regulations banning the visible presentation of Nazi-era symbols.

Officials state initial examinations indicate the liquid was likely human blood.

"At present there remains no clue as to its source; authorities are not yet aware of any harm in association with the occurrence," they stated.

Municipal representatives said they were working "to unravel the case" and have requested to the public for tips.

A high-ranking political figure commented the attack rendered him without words and needed to be solved promptly.

"This incident affects the very heart of Hanau and reopens the pain of the right-wing violent incident half a decade ago," he stated on online, mentioning the murder of nine individuals by a gunman focusing on people of immigrant origin in February 2020.
