Anthony Joshua prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the combatants confronted each other to promote next month's heavyweight fight.
Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua meets YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a mammoth disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I will injure his face and damage his physique. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.
"I'm going to seriously aim to hurt him. That's my goal."
Civil Interaction
Despite such comments, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul rather targeted ex Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a bout proposal.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at UK rival Fury - and rejected a large bet 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," the boxer stated.
"I respect him for that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.
"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he stated.
Jake Paul's Background
Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly fought MMA fighters or faded names since becoming pro.
He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of boxing's largest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge paydays.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28 year old forecast a stoppage in the fourth or fifth round and asserted he would prevent the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It's going to be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As Joshua and Paul participated in the usual face-off, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it emphasized just how improbable this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the fight is truly proceeding.
