Overnight, Moscow's missile and drone strikes have led to power cuts in extensive areas of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Russian forces has escalated assaults on electrical systems over recent weeks, while the country's government has requested "concrete actions" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.
"What's needed is not superficial actions but strong steps - from the America, the EU and the major economies - in delivering defensive weapons and enforcing restrictions," mentioned in a social media post.
He said that hundreds of unmanned aircraft and more than 30 projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, labeling such strikes as "cynical and calculated" and against "critical infrastructure" as the weather cools.
Energy officials said Moscow was "inflicting a massive strike" and technical staff were working to fix the damage.
